Entry terms & conditions
Draft for the organiser's approval. The figures marked below are policy decisions still to be confirmed, and nothing here is binding until entries open.
Your entry
- An entry is personal to you and confirmed only once payment has cleared.
- You must be at or above the minimum age on race day (to be confirmed with the permit).
- You enter in the knowledge that fell running and road cycling carry inherent risk, and that you are responsible for your own decisions on the course.
- You confirm you are in a fit condition to take part and will withdraw if that changes.
- Relay teams enter as a team: both members must be registered before race day.
Refunds, transfers and deferrals
Our intended policy, for approval:
- Refunds: full refund minus the booking fee up to 60 days before race day; 50% up to 30 days; none inside 30 days, when costs are already committed.
- Transfer to another athlete: permitted up to 14 days before race day for a small administration fee. Never transfer a place privately — an unregistered runner on the moor is a safety problem, not a paperwork one.
- Injury or illness deferral: defer to the following edition on production of reasonable evidence.
- Pregnancy, IVF and adoption: free deferral of up to two editions, no evidence required, no questions asked.
- Armed forces deployment: free deferral on production of orders.
If the event cannot go ahead
If we cancel before race day for reasons within our control, you will be offered a refund or a deferral. If the event is stopped by weather, emergency, or an instruction from the police, landowner or governing body, we will refund whatever has not already been committed and offer a discounted place at the next edition. We cannot refund your travel or accommodation, so please insure those separately.
On the day
- Attendance at the briefing is compulsory.
- Follow marshals' instructions and the Highway Code at all times.
- Litter dropped on the moor means disqualification. This is somebody's land and everyone's landscape.
- We may withdraw any athlete on safety grounds, including for missing a cut-off.
- Outside assistance and course-cutting mean disqualification.
Photography
Photographs and film taken at the event may be used to promote future editions. Tell us at registration or in writing if you would rather not appear, and we will do our best to honour it. See the privacy notice.
